Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow the tablets as a whole. Do not crush, break or chew the tablets. Do not take more than the recommended dose of this medicine during a day and you should follow the same dose schedule as your doctor. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Ciprofloxacin or to any other quinolone antibiotics. Do not take this medicine if you have had a severe liver disease, ever had a serious reaction to ciprofloxacin or any other quinolone antibiotic (such as gemfibrozil).
Although there are no studies of these medicines in adults, some patients have experienced side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, skin reactions such as hives, swelling and difficulty in breathing, pain in the legs, weak and tired muscles, weakness, itching or rashes, diarrhoea, dry mouth, stomach pain. Most of the side effects are mild, and only a occasionally experienced one or more side effects.
